Steamed Hard-Cooked Eggs
1-½ quarts of water
1 dozen eggs
1 steamer basket (I use one that nests into the top portion of my pot)
- Fill pot with water. Put eggs into steamer basket. Place steamer basket into pot and cover.
- Bring water to boil over medium-high heat; then turn down heat and simmer for 16 minutes.
- Remove eggs from heat. Place eggs in ice water-filled bowl for 3 minutes.
- Decorate away!
