String Beans with Bacon
Prep Time = 20 minutes
Cooking Time = 15 minutes
1 pound green beans, trimmed
2 slices uncured bacon, diced
- Heat 7-8 quart pot of water to boiling on high. Meanwhile, fill very large bowl with ice and water.
- Add beans to boiling water and cook about 6 minutes. Drain and add beans to ice water for about 10 minutes or until beans cool and stop cooking.
- Heat bacon in large skillet until sizzling, about 5 minutes. Add green beans and heat stirring frequently until bacon is cooked and beans are lightly browned.
