Here you’ll find the latest nutrition news broken down into bite-size pieces of information with lots of tips and recipes. Our mission is to help everyone in the family start eating healthy right away –from high chair through high school, and many years beyond.

Our philosophy is to provide readers with the truth about healthy eating based on the latest research. All articles will explore the pros and cons of food and nutrition issues so that readers are empowered to make the best decision for their families.

What Kind of Writers Are We Looking For?

Please consider writing for us if you are a professional writer, journalist, registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), dietetic intern, or health professional. Story assignments are made by the managing editor, Jodie Shield, MED, RDN, LDN. We look for writers with strong portfolios demonstrating:

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Commitment to science-based content
  • Free from commercial or third party affiliation

What Kind of Articles Are We Looking For?

We are always looking for original, engaging, and cutting-edge stories about food, health, fitness, dieting, along with recipes and app reviews that impact family’s lives.

Articles are typically 400 to 600 words in length and are written for a mobile-friendly, online audience. Each article must include at least one jpeg photo that is a high quality original or a proof-of-purchase purchase, royalty-free stock photo. Videos are also welcome, but must be high quality originals.
